How to Solve YouTube Chapter or Timestamp Problems

To fix issues with YouTube chapters or timestamps not working, follow these steps:

1. Check Your Timestamps

  • Make sure your first timestamp starts with 00:00.
  • Have at least 3 timestamps listed in order.
  • Each chapter should be at least 10 seconds long.
  • Ensure the language of the chapters matches your video’s language.
  • Your channel shouldn’t have any active strikes, and your video must be appropriate for all viewers.

2. Wait for Up to 72 Hours

Sometimes it takes time for YouTube to process timestamps. If you’ve recently added chapters, wait for up to 72 hours for them to appear.

3. Contact YouTube Support

If the issue persists after meeting all requirements and waiting, you can contact YouTube for help.
